PureCars' Marjie Richardson Recognized as one of TADA's Women Blazing New Paths in Automotive
Keys To Success In The Automotive Industry
Prior to 2000, most women who worked in the automobile industry had clearly defined roles and limited career opportunities.
Women worked as receptionists and support staff, in human resources and accounting. There were a few women service advisors, salespeople and in management, but those were the exceptions.
During the past 25 years, however, there has been a significant cultural shift in the automotive industry, where women have pursued – and excelled at – more varied career paths at dealerships and in the automotive industry.
Today, it’s not uncommon for women to be dealer principals, general managers, sales managers, controllers and/or digital marketing experts.
“As the Vice President of Client Experience & Strategic Partnerships at PureCars, I have a vested interest in the development of our Digital Strategy team and have led the team for the entirety of Marjie’s time at PureCars. Marjie onboarded with PureCars just over a year ago, and her development in this short timespan has been inspirational. Her commitment to learning, humility with (and outside of) her team, and unrivaled determination to make an impact for her clients is a perfect blend of attributes for our client facing team.
As a Senior Digital Strategy Manager, Marjie guides the digital ad strategy for many of our largest dealer groups. She has cultivated true partnerships at each; as an empathetic listener and savvy consultant, she tailors innovative and effective strategic recommendations to each dealer partner she works with. Beyond her client facing responsibilities, Marjie is a team player at PureCars. She can be counted on for a smile, a listening ear, and an honest opinion. Marjie is absolutely worthy of this nomination and I am proud to work alongside her.”
